DG Container Packing Certification

The International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 (SOLAS), as amended, deals with various aspects of maritime safety and contains in chapter VII the mandatory provisions governing the carriage of dangerous goods in packaged form. The carriage of dangerous goods in packaged form shall comply with the relevant provisions of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code which is considered and extension to the provisions of SOLAS chapter VII.

IMDG Code, SOLAS Chapter VII, LPK (Local Port Authority) under their by-laws amendment 1989 and Malaysian Marine Department as local representative IMO requires Container Packing Certificate (CPC) to be issued by a competent surveyor as a mandatory supporting document in carriage of Dangerous Goods. The requirement of CPC is to ensure proper handling / packing / declaration etc by all personals responsible and aiming to avoid and / or reduce the risks to the ships / ports / terminals etc.

Altitude Malaysia is an approved panel surveyor by LPK (Local Port Authority) and Malaysian Marine Department for issuance of DG-Container Packing Certificate.
